Irene Butter’s Statement

To Teachers and Religious Leaders—

How do we engage students to think about the many injustices in this world, past and present, and encourage them to become actively involved in building a better world?

No matter how old you are, or where you live, there usually is a way to make a difference in a positive way.

The purpose of Never a Bystander is to show that WHAT WE DO or DON’T DO MATTERS.

Many students have told me they consider this to be an important lesson, one that they have not been taught before, and one that they will remember and incorporate into their lives.

I am honored to become a part of your classroom through this film. It is our hope that, with your help, we will make a lasting impact on your students.
